Hi All,

When I try to install http_referer 1.2 in GL 1.3.11 I get just a blank page after clicking on the install link in the plugins menu.

Any idea's?

Thanks

P.S.

Was running 1.1 just fine with GL 1.3.9.

I have logging enabled through the;

; Log errors to specified file.
error_log

I get no errors.

However, if I go back to http_referer 1.1, it will install, but it will not create a admin link for http_referer. So, if I call the /admin/plugins/http_referer/index.php directly I get:

_GL_ERRORNOACCESS
_MD_USER _GL_NOUSERACCESS

Which says I do not have proper permissions. I'm logged in as root.

Thanks,

I downloaded and tried to install vstats plugin 1.3. I get the same problem. If I use the link from the plugins menu, I get a blank page. If I call the install.php directly, I get the install page. If I click on install, I get a blank page, but all the database entries are created, but I still do not get a link in the admin menu block.

Hmmm, I'm not sure what the problem could be.

Has there been a change in the instll api since 1.3.9? I've not touched that part of the http_referer plugin since version 1.0.

Get the latest CVS version, use that, it won't fix the install issue, but, I'm going to release it when I find time. It has pagination of search records plus SpamX integration for blocking HTTP_REFERER spam.

at the top of install.php:

require_once('../../../lib-common.php');

Make sure that points to the correct lib-common.php, and that lib-common.php points to config.php correctly.

If your other plugin doesn't work, then I suspect it could be incorrect path to the lib-common.php file combined with PHP set to supress all errors. Which would fail the page on a line before it can do any logging or work or display.

Okay, here goes:

If I try to install using the link provided in the plugin menu, it loads a blank page.

If I invoke install.php directly, the install works. However, permissions are not set. I have to go into the group editor and select "httpreferer.list" and "httpreferer.delete" and save. Then it works as designed.

So something in GL 1.3.11 is not compatiable with older plugins.

I just installed HTTP_REFERER CVS into geeklog (CVS version, clean new install) with 0 problems. It's your set up, not my code ;-)

Nobody said it was your code Wink I'm pointing the finger at GL 1.3.11.

I get infrequent SQL errors in my error log as shown here:
