Sometimes, I need to put a few stories, maybe 3-5, at the top like the featured story ignoring the postdate. I don't want to change the date of those stories inorder to get them at the top because the dates need to be true.

What would be the best and easiest solution for the time being? Is there away to allow more than one featured story, by disabling the function to replace the featured story when a new one is assigned?

Another solution is to use staticpages, stacking them upon the stories, but they are not as convenient.
