It's installed and working - however - the "new post" indicator doesn't work relaibly on the phpbb2 forums.
It's very difficult to troubleshoot as the problem is intermittant - I've created mutile id's and logged on, posted, logged off - closed the browser - logged on as a different user and had the new post icon appear - sometimes.
So far it seems random -
I've tried having seperate cookie names for geeklog and phpbb2 - and same cookie names - doesn't seem to make any difference. I've tried setting the geeklog perm_cookie_timeout to 0 - and the geeklog session_cookie_timeout on both phpbb and geeklog are set at 28800.
arghh - i'm loosing all my users b/c they login and think theres no new posts and just logoff again...
any help is appreciated!

I'm under the impression that any problems with the "new post" indicator are the fault of phpBB and not the integration. Could you try installing phpBB by itself and then seeing if you can replicate the same issues?
I have noticed that opening multiple tabs simultaneously does cause phpBB to have problems with the new post indicator. I would recommend only allowing your browser to load one phpBB thread at a time.

yah thats what I figured too - but I've been unable to resolve the problem based on the help I've got over on phpbb.com - so I hoped maybe it was a known issue from the integration or if anyone else was having a siimilar problem...
I may just go back to yabb I guess...
