Sorry if this is in a previous forum but I have not found anyhing I can relate to.

I am using GL 1.3.11 and cannot post any comments for articles. This is displayed :http://www.......com/comment.php?sid=20050110192813424&pid=0&type=article and the screen is blank. The site is not online yet but I need to rectify this before I put it online as it is a major function. Can anybody point out what might be wrong.

I enabled the error log and got the following:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare savecomment() in /opt/geeklog-1.3.11/plugins/spamx/functions.inc on line 151

What can I do to rectify this problem, have you any suggestions?

I disabled spamx and now I can post comments for articles? How can I rectify this problem and still have spamx enabled?

Are you mixing an old version of the SpamX plugin with 1.3.11?

Geeklog 1.3.11 comes with its own version of the SpamX plugin. It's fully integrated out of the box and you don't have to make any code changes. So I'd suggest you re-upload all the files from the 1.3.11 tarball - or at least those for the SpamX plugin and Geeklog's comment.php

I just upgraded from 1.3.9 sr1 to 1.3.11 and used the Spamx that comes with 1.3.11. I will try what you suggested and will see how that goes.

I still had some old files left around which were conflicting with the new version of Spamx. All is working now.I got a bit confused with the Spamx install as step 5 and 7 are not needed with the latest version if you are installing it separate to GL1.3.11.
