Forum: Number of topics on frontpage

The forum plugin displays 10 of the newest posts on the frontpage by default. Our site has 7 posts. How do we change it to 10? I've tried looking at the /forum/inlcude/config.php file but can't seem to find the setting.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's hardcoded in functions.php.

I'm new to all this. Where would I find the "functions.php" file? The path to it? Please. :-)
