I have a problem with new user setup. I posted this problem on the forums a month ago and haven't received a reply yet

I am getting desperate.

My website is www.medsim.net

when users sign up the website doesn't email them their password to log in

I contacted my hosting service and they state that it isn't something they can help with. They claim it is a Geeklog problem.

How can I activate Geeklog to email new users their passwords?

Try smtp with Pear set to 'true'. If it still doesn't work, try setting Pear to 'false'.

I don't know if this is the correct thing to tell you but when I upgraded to 1.3.9rc11, I had to play with different settings for it to work. I had used the 'mail' option in the past but it wasn't working after the upgrade.
