I am trying to use an older (can't find a new one) news/rss block. I have it installed, but I can't admin it.

The News Admin group shows in Groups, doesn't show in my Admin login/user. I cannot simply go through the website and add my admin login to the New Admin group, because it doesn't show.

I've been through phpmyadmin and looked at the group table(s) and cannot find where to add my uid to the group list, or vice-versa.

When I go through the website, I go into groups, down to the News Admin group, try to edit it, cannot and get this error:

"To edit this group, you have to be a member of the group. Please contact the system administrator if you feel this is an error."

Questions:

1) how to fix this?

2) anyone know of an updated version to the news block? the one I am using is: news_1.4_1.3.5.tar.gz (I can't find it on this site, perhaps I've overlooked the update).
