You don't want to disable the filter, believe me.

Where's the problem addding the (few, I assume) missing HTML tags to the list of allowed HTML? See the FAQ: Why does Geeklog remove certain HTML tags?

bye, Dirk

<div align=center>
<p><embed SRC=http://unitedleft.com/videos/012505II.wmv WIDTH=400 HEIGHT=300 AUTOPLAY=false CONTROLLER=true LOOP=false ></p>
</div>

I'm not lookiing at the default list of HTML tags at the moment, so some of these might already be in the allowed-HTML tags list.

But looking at your desired HTML code, I'd say you need to make sure these are allowed: div, p, embed.

looking at this from a different point of view.... do you really need that file inside a posting? Why not put that in a static page? (no html limitations) .
Just my two cents

I would do that but I post daily videos and it would be much easier to put them inside the post. It also helps in keeping track of the videos

im trying to add the following code:

<div align=center>
<p><embed SRC=http://unitedleft.com/videos/012505II.wmv WIDTH=400 HEIGHT=300 AUTOPLAY=false CONTROLLER=true LOOP=false ></p>
</div>

Ive allowed the following tags: <p> <embed> <div> and it still doesn't allow me to embed the video

You also have to add the attributes for that tag.

SRC,WIDTH,HEIGHT,AUTOPLAY,CONTROLLER and LOOP otherwise it will not work.

Good Luck

And those go in not as separate lines, that'd be as if they were HTML tags, but instead on the same line the HTML tag they are an attribute of.
