Dreamweaver MX & lib-common.php

I've read quite a number of posts about Dreamweaver MX 2004 corrupting lib-common.php and used to face the same problem myself. I knew it was a problem with Geeklog since other CMS such as PHP-Nuke worked on my test server.
I downloaded Geeklog v1.3.11, extracted it with WinRAR, edited config.php & lib-common.php with Dreamweaver (with Code Rewriting disabled) and tested my installation. Installation went fine but yielded a blank page at success.php and index.php. Error messages shown made me conclude that lib-common.php was corrupted.
I'm aware of Dreamweaver corrupting lib-common.php, thus, I decided to update Dreamweaver to v7.0.1 to see if it made any difference.
I reinstalled Geeklog v.1.3.11 and redid the steps that I mentioned above.
The good news is - it works! Since the only change I made was updating Dreamweaver, its the only thing I can conclude helped fix the problem.
Anyway, I'm not 100% sure if this is the fix for editing Geeklog with Dreamweaver, so perhaps other users here might like to conduct the same experiment and let us know if it works.
