News feed with description

Is is possible to display news (via portal block) that would show not only titles but also descriptions?
I created a news feed that consists of Title and some text from introtext. However when I parse it through the portal block it only shows titles.
How to overcome this? Any insights?

My idea would be to use an external script instead of the build in parser. I use RSSFeedMagic on my site (in static pages) but there are dozens of them.
