does anybody have an easy, step-by-step tutorial on how to make a centerblock with rss feeds in it? I've seen a few posts in this forum but it all seems over my head. Thanks for any help!

Hi.
First of all, you must create a Portal (system) block, with the url of the rss feed. Save it. Then, put the mouse pointer over the name of the block and remenber the number of the block (http://.../?mode=edit&bid=Number)
In the step 2, you must create a static page, with the following characteristics:
- It must be a portal block.
- In the content of the block, write: $return = static_rdf('Number of the block you obtanied in step 1'); return $return;
- You must be able to execute php in static pages (read the Geeklog's FAQ to do this).
- Select the portal block option, and in the php options, select "execute PHP (return)".
- Set the permissons you want for the page.

And that's all. It's esasy to do it.

My english is bad, but I hope you understand me.

Note the needed rdf_check() that will be used in the staticpage is not part of the core GL. It is a custom function that needs to be added to your lib-custom.php file.

The author of the static_rdf() function is samstone. See the original thread here
