DB Backup Errors

Hi guys. I'm running Geeklog 1.3.9sr1 on my companies intranet site. Everything works great except for the DB backup.

When I click "Do Backup" it comes back and says:
There was an error.
Backup Failed: Filesize was 0 bytes

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Are you using InnoDB tables? If not have you tried doing a mysqldump of your tables manually? Did you check your error.log for any more informational messages?

I had the same problem, turns out that the password for the MySQL account that I was using had characters in it that MySQL didn't like [ namely a ')' ] when it tried to run the mysqldump command.

Check the permisions of the backup folder. I had to change mine from 755 to 775 I have heard that some people have to go as far as 777
