Please define "Older Stories"

It shows stories which are still in my main page, so what makes them "old"?

In other words: what exactly does the "Older Stories" block do? What stories does it list?

It all depends on your $_CONF['limitnews'] setting. Per default, it's 10, so Geeklog will display the 10 most recent stories on the front page and the next 10 are listed in the Older Stories block.

You can override the stories per page setting in your Preferences, but the Older Stories block will be unaffected by this.

So what you're saying is that "Older Stories" will always be 10 stories?

Anyway, I haven't changed it from 10, but the thing is they overlap for me (recent stories and older stories).

So for example, if stories 1-10 are displayed on the main page, then stories 8-17 are displayed on the older stories.
That means numbers 9 & 10 show up on both!

Wait a minute, maybe it's because I use Euan's Multi-language solution, which, when I use English, artificially hides non English stories from the main page and injects English stories (that are supposed to be "older" by now) instead!

Oops, 8-17 => 9-18

No, I said it depends on the number you set in $_CONF['limitnews'].

I haven't used Euan's hack, so I can't comment on the side effects it may have.
