mysterious name cloning after user-administration

hi,
I found a funny behaviour related to "save password" feature of browser.
Report of my customer was:
"Whenever I administer users and change their group-assignments, they'll all get the same name (full name) afterwards".
As reason for this we found out, that the Browser had treated the user-edit form as a kind of login-form and stored name and password (name is just the field before password) in his database (custumer must have clicked once in the past to confirm it).
The funny thing (I would say buggy behaviour of the browser):
He inserts the stored value of name even if it is preset to a different value by geeklog when opening the user-edit form.
You can see the different name, but most people (like my customer) would not notice it when changing data further down on the page.
Browser was Mozilla Firefox 1.0 (Windows version) and customer told me, on another computer she had seen the same behaviour with IE (but I did not prove this).
What we could do on geeklog-side to prevent this is to switch off the autocomplete-"feature" for this form in edituser.thtml:
It worked at least for Firefox (stored password had once to be deleted manually)
By the way (I'm a newbie to this place) - is this forum the right place to drop such ideas?
Have a nice day, Bernd.

sorry, solution-code did not show up in my post, because html-code is interpreted ;
I'll just describe it:
add the attribute autocomplete="off" to the form tag
