I dumped additional forum similies in the public_htmlforumimagessmilies directory but they're not showing in the forum.
Which directory is the correct one to display these additional similies on my forum?

You may want to check out using the glMessenger solution as it has a integrated online similie admin feature and integrates with the forum plugin.
