How to set Forum posts-per-page?

The subject says it...I just had a forum post-and-replies go over 5 for the first time, and it went to "page 2", I think I want more like 10 or 12 per page.

I did just browse thru the include/config.php file, didn't see this particular setting, probably because it was a quick browse instead of line-by-line.

Any suggestions appreciated! Well, almost any, biological ones I'll ignore or am already doing.

It's both a general setting (Admin block -> Forum -> Settings) and a personal preference setting (User Functions -> Forum Features).

Does anyone know where I can set the default setting for this, on the Forum User Preferences? I want my users to have a very different topics-per-page and users-per-page value.

I found this in the config.php file:

$topicsperpage = $userprefs['topicsperpage'];

And a second line of postsperpage. However I don't see where to set it...

is there a way to stop members from getting access to this?? or at least some of this...as i want 15 posts as default and for my members to be unable to change it?
