awake
I've installed the filemanagement plugin accordingly instructions.
I've chmodded everything... It looks like it is working, but when I try to upload i get...

Warning: move_uploaded_file(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/www/data/filemgmt_data/files/tmp/bdwopF6wqc) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/rierink/:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in /home/rierink/public_html/filemgmt/submit.php on line 93

and when I make an category, how do I name the thumbnail for that category? complete path? just the name (picture.gif)?

Admin's block -> File Management -> Configuration Settings. Adjust your paths and URLs there.

I did! I should not change the first bits of this line should I?

/var/www/data/public_html/filemgmt_data/files/
http://www.bigoffice.org/filemgmt_data/files/

If I do, where do I find the info which should be instead of the /var/www/data. I have tried the lines with and without the 'public_html' line in it. Both not working!

And what about the path of the category pics?

THANKS!

Now I get:

This is the exact same error message as above. You still haven't fixed your paths in the plugin's configuration settings.

Great, I've tried everything now, adding/deleting/moving whatever.
Any ideas whether or not I should put in the /public_html/part?

Do I have to change /var/www/data?

Aren't there any guidelines? (YES i did read the manual) Read the FAQ

ANYBODY?

I've seen that many MANY people had or have the same problem.
Why doesn't anybody tell you just to change the

"/var/www/data/"-bit, to whatever is mentioned in the error? in my case "/home/rierink/"

(now i just get another error, but i am getting there I hope....)
