Yesterday I installed two plugins. The chaterbox and the stock quotes. Everything worked fine untill I loged off the site. I now can not log in on the main page. it just loops back and I am not logged in. If I go to the admin directory. http://my site/admin/ and use the center log in boxes I can log in but I get the error message
I have checked for white space on my "auth.inc.php" and my "lib-common.php" I have also cleared all cookies.
I don't think either of these were changed with the updates. so I am lost.
Help me please

I have a question about paths. This may have something to do with the problems I keep having.
The server I am using has a main domain. flatratetech.com I have 6 subdomains set up. One of these sub domains fordtechnews.com is where my geeklog site is. If you look at my "QUOTE" above you will see that I have two public_html folders in my path. My question is can this be a problem with the way geeklog is working. Should I move everything back one directory so that all the public_html files for geeklog are in the subdomains root directory. Then what directory would be the correct one for the other folders would they go all the way back before the first public_html directory.
I guess what I am saying is what is the correct way to set this up for a subdomain. I have read everything I can find and it looks like it is all based on the main domain.
And Dirk thank you for your response.

I Fixed it
I had a block set up on the left side of my home page with this code in it.
<form name="form1" method="post" action="">
<div align="center">
<select class="combobox" name="SiteMap" onChange="if(options[selectedIndex].value){location = options[selectedIndex].value}" size="1">
<option>FordTechNews Links</option>
<option value="http://flatratetech.com">FlatRateTech.com</option>
<option value="http://flatratetech.com/classaction.htm">Class action sign up</option>
<option value="http://6literpowerstroke.com">6LiterPowerStroke.com</option>
<option value="http://servicemanagerclub.com/">ServiceManagerClub.com</option>
<option value="http://flatratetech.com/images/nav_how_to.htm">SUV body removal
procedure</option>
<option value="http://www.flatratetech.com/6literpowerstroke/body_lift/page1.htm">F-Series
body removal</option>
<option value="http://flatratetech.com/faq.htm">Unionize your shop</option>
</select>
<style type="text/css">
<!--
.combobox {
background-color: #FFFFFF;
color: #808080;
font-size: 10pt;
font-family: arial;
font-weight: bold;
}
-->
</style>
</body>
I had moved it up above the log in block this was causing the log in problems for some reason. I guess that is what I get for not using the links page setup within geeklog.

People that have been following my problems please stay away from using a combo box on your pages.
A few things that it caused for problems are as follows
1)couldn't log in
2)Polls did not work
3)advanced seaqrch did not work
since I disabled this block everything is fixed and I am a happy camper.
