I need to import users, but I don't want to have the emails sent. Is it possible to stop the emails or to import directly into the geeklog database?
I've looked at the table and I see I'll have to encrypt the passwords, but is there anything else I need to do?

Use the User Import function, available from the Admin's list of users.
If you don't want to send out emails for those users, comment out the call to emailpassword in function importusers in admin/user.php
bye, Dirk
