Hello,
I would like to enable Topic Images for a specific set of Topics only. I wish to do so to notify users that the Topics with images are "open" for all users to post within.
I found this post on GL, that partially covers this but I am unsure of some things.
First, I found the "COM_showTopics" function in lib-common.php, and "imageurl" is included in the $sql query, so that works fine. Second, In the post linked to above, Dirk says "...then, further down, set the images for each of the entries". I am unsure where to set the images for each entry, and whether or not I can selectively choose which topics receive an image based on whether one has been set via the Topics Block. Can I create some type of case that checks to see if one has been set, and set the "imageurl" as needed? It looks like I may be able to do this in the "if" statement starting on line 1974 of lib-common.php.
Third. I managed to get the icons to append themselves to the end of the Topic Text by simply moving the {topic-image} var declaration in topicoption.thtml, however upon doing so, every Topic that does not have an image associated with it repeats its name directly beneath itself. I suppose if I could stop this from happening, my problem would already be solved, however I thought it best to ask and learn a little more about the impementation.
Thank you!

Ok. Official idiot post. All I had to do was remove the default "/img/icons/" from the 'Topic Image" field in the Topics Block.
Sorry,
