Trying to do backup via the DB Backups option. Kept getting errors. My host (Ipowerweb) says I can not use mysqldump utility for backup on vDeck server.

Is this a problem? If I have to use the phpmyadmin (it is a problem because I will never go there...)

What other limitations like this are there with a vDeck server?

Should I be looking for a new host? They told me there would be no difference when I changed from cpanel to vdeck, but I think that is not true.

You can try PHP Dump Geeklog Backup Plugin . We've never used it, because we have mysqldump.

Can't help with cpanel > vdeck, I use ssh and bash.
