Halting

I unpacked public files directly into the public_html and the rest into a file named geek. In an act of desperation I loaded geek into the public_html also.

I have the $Confic path correct -

$_CONF['path'] = '/home/gaymodel/public_html/geek/';

but now am getting a halting error.
Template Error: set_root: /home/gaymodel/public_html/geek/public_html/layout/professional is not a directory. Halted.

The instructions say this is $_CONF['path_html' error. I have tried every possible equation and reset it to the origonal which is:
'/public_html/';
On the first page of installation I am directing the Path to Geeklog's config.php to
/home/gaymodel/public_html/geek/config.php

It still won't install. I have to delete the database and create a new one every time. 12 hours of this his is the most frustrating thing. I didn't realie I was this stupid at simple paths.
Please help.

This should be the default directory if, as you wrote in another thread, you did unpack Geeklog in your public_html.

So do you have a "public_html" directory in your "geek" directory?

You don't have to. If the install script went through and the only problem you had then was displaying the success.php page, then it means that it successfully created the tables in the database. You only have to fix your paths / URLs now.

I have deleted everything and started over from total scratch. I loaded all the "contents" of the public html into the public_html directory on my server. No I do not have a public html in my geek directory. All other files went into a folder called geeklog which is in the core root directory where public_html is located. This is what I have:

$_CONF['path'] = '/home/gaymodel/geeklog/';

$_CONF['path_html'] = $_CONF['path'] . 'public_html/';

since I do not have my actual domain registerd yet I have the IP for the site url....

$_CONF['site_url'] = 'http://64.202.123.236:2086';

My lib_common php contains this...

require_once( '/home/gaymodel/geeklog/config.php' );

In the installation I have "new database and....

Path to Geeklog's config.php: /home/gaymodel/geeklog/

Once the database installs the screen goes blank but I am getting this error through my c-panel when I hit the ip:

Template Error: set_root: /home/gaymodel/geeklog/public_html/layout/professional is not a directory.
Halted.

Hopefully you can identify my error. I really appreciate all your help Dirk.
