Simple problem: any time I edit an entry, when I try to save it, it says that the ID I have chosen is already in use and to select a new ID. What is this ID I need to change, and why do I need to change it?

The ID you chose for this story is already in use.

I read that, and the link for the templates, but I still don't know what to do.

At the very minimum, copy the template file admin/story/storyeditor.thtml from the professional theme over to the theme you're using.

But the fact that you're getting this error indicates that you're using a theme that was made for an older Geeklog release and you will run into other problems sooner or later. Please update it following the list of theme changes.
