I just installed 1.3.11 onto a linux box. Now I want to customize the professional theme. I have some questions about this:

1. How can i add list items to left side as in geeklog.net?
2. How can add new links to top menu?

create a new block and add your content (html) to it. see the faq
make use of the custom links function in lib-custom.php and refered to in config.php in the $_CONF['menu_elements'] array. see the faq
