Hi all,
Sorry for what's going to be a noob question, but i'm in the process of learning.. learning quite a bit actually! I'll also apologize for posting this here and at Squatty.com... I figure the more time I ask it, the more likely i'lll get a good answer.. kind of like fishing...
Here goes:
my host provided an install of GL with my account. I installed in one of my subdomains (for my gaming group) in the following path:
/home/****/public_html/cpc/
So GL is not installed directly in my public_html directory, but rather in a subdirectory thereof.
Now here's my problem: i'm gaving trouble installing plugins because they require their files to be installed in the public_html directory, not beneath it.
What do I need to change here to make my installations easier? Should I create another public_html directory within the cpc directory or is there some way (no doubt amazingly easy) to have everything point in the correct place?
Bear in mind that almost the entire thing was installed automatically by my hosting service. If need be, I can always remove everything and reinstall it. I do also have the option of doing a manual install. The site's not operational yet so there's no accounts other than myself.
thanks for any help, I'm looking forward to learning more about GL and something about unix as well!

The plugin require to be installed in Geeklog's public_html directory. Which is the directory where Geeklog's index.php (and lib-common.php) is located.
bye, Dirk

thanks for the quick reply!
But does that mean that on my server I should not move anything, but install plugins to the /home/*****/public_html/cpc/ directory and when the installation docs have /your/install/path/public_html I sould read that as /home/*****/public_html/cpc/?
My apologies for being somewhat obtuse about this, I was getting frustrated and just want to be sure that I'm going in the right direction!
