o.k. My forum is working fine - excellently infact. However down the right hand side of my homepage there is a Forum Block which displays the latest 5 postings for my forum.

This works fine, however.

When a user clicks on the topic it goes to the topic - fine, but when a user clicks to view the user profile of the submitting user the URL that it opens does not include the file which gl is installed in. EXAMPLE:

My site for the user.php file is:

www.mysite.com/index/users.php

But when users attempt to see profiles via the Forum Block ONLY it takes them to:

www.mysite.com/users.php

and of course cant find the file. It works for finding the user profile any other way - but not via this block.

How can this be fixed?

I would also like to know this answer. I know this is an old post, but can anyone tell me how to solve this problem as I'm experiencing it on my own website.

Please help.

What version are you running. I took a quick look at the code for version 2.3 and it's using the setting as configured in the main gl config.php

Text Formatted Code

  $profilelink = "<a href='{$_CONF['site_url']}/users.php?mode=profile&uid={$uid}'>";

When I first posted this problem, I dont believe it was ever solved. I'm still having this problem on my site. Can I just change the code that is posted 2 posts above?

So that is works? Is this line of code the problem?

I would be thankful for any replies here as I'm really very stuck. Can someone help me

Go to admin block -> plugins and the version should be next to forum (on the right).

You will want to upgrade then for many reason as noted on my site regarding the 2.3 version. Version 2.3 contains bug fixes and many new features.

I not only contribute 1000's of hours to the community by releasing these plugins but I also provide consulting services which helps buy new shows for the kids once in a while Razz

But seriously, if you need someone to upgrade your site or install plugins then it's probally worth it to contact me or others that provide consulting services.

If your interested send me a email or PM.
