So, just recently, i've noticed that Anonymous users can't post a story when using IE. I come to a page that says "authorization required"

I think it has something to do with the cookie...cuz it results from geeklog trying to take me to a previous admin-story edit page....and not the regular story submission.

I don't think this is so much an IE issue as a cache issue or something.

Some more info: i was logged in as admin, and then logged out.

the link i click, takes me to "http://www.humanities.mcmaster.ca/~mmnews/submit.php?type=story"

but this quickly gets redirected to the Admin version.....
(and, since i'm not logged in, i obviously dont have rights to)

any help?

I'm using Firefox on Win2k and cannot submit a story on your site without logging in as well. You can change that setting in config.php.

Nice layout btw, (Axonz red converted to blue?), but you forgot to change the footer CSS styles.

its gotta be some sort of cache issue.
i havent changed the configphp file in a while....so its the same (i've had anonymous postings recently).

i just tried it in firefox...not logged in....and i get the proper submission form.

so.......maybe somethign to do with the fact that i'm using a flash header?

and yah, should change the look of the footer.
