Simple news posting problem

Mark

Anonymous
I'm having this minor problem about not having access to post so I read the FAQs and I can't find my php.ini file. The phpinfo.php file is at: http://mark.ruremodeling.com/phpinfo.php I still can't find my php.ini file using my file manager or FTP anyway so I'm not sure what I can do. Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming that's the problem people are talking about where I can fix that in my php.ini but I can't find the directory that it's in even with using the phpinfo.php.

Is it your own server ?

If you are on a shared hosting account, you do not have access to php.ini as this controls the global php settings for the webserver, not one website.

If it is your own webserver, just do a find from the root ...

And restart your httpd daemons, after you changed your php.ini

So what you're saying is... I'm screwed because I don't own the actual web server. The only web server access I have is from Cpanel or FTP, my hosting company is simplehost. So is there anyway to fix this "non authorization" nonsense?

perhaps you could clarify or be specific about what the problem is...
as far as the php.ini is concerned, many settings therein can be influenced, depending upon your server type, via .htaccess files on a per directory basis.

You can see for yourself and probably see it better than I can explain: http://mark.ruremodeling.com/

If you don't want to do that, no matter what page I go to and want to post on, I get the simple message
There are no news stories to display. There may be no news for this topic or your user preferences may be too restrictive
I'm not sure what that means, but since I'm the "Super Admin" or whatever, I should be able to post and my access is limited. I'm not sure what exactly to do, and the only FAQ that answered my question stated that my problem lies within php.ini but since I cannot access that file, I'm not sure excatly what to do.
