Hi,

I just want to add the site stats totalhits into the footer of each page for a client. I cant seem to get it. In the stats.php the system just does a database query:
$totalhits = DB_getItem($_TABLES['vars'],'value',"name = 'totalhits'");

And it is loaded into the template sitestatistics.thtml.

This all seems pretty straight forward but I can not echo this variable and get any value to display in the footer???

In my footer.thtml I do the above db query and then echo the result but nothing...

Actually just checked something else, I cant do any php in the footer ... am I correct or am I missing something basic.

Yes, you can't use PHP in the footer.

Modify function COM_siteFooter in lib-common.php instead and provide the counter as a new template variable.
