I just intalled the latest Geeklog1.3.11 version and
whenever I try to make a backup of my database through the admin section, the following are the messages I get

on top of the page is says:
Warning: is_executable(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/bin/mysqldump) is not within the allowed path(s): (/tmp:/home/club509/:/var/www/php4/lib/php/) in /home/club509/www.mens-source.com/docs/admin/database.php on line 98

on the page:

There was an error.
Incorrect path or mysqldump utility not executable.
Check $_DB_mysqldump_path definition in config.php.
Variable currently defined as: /usr/bin/mysqldump

so I checked everything and they appear just fine to me. just what on earth did I not do right?

Either mysqldump is not in that directory or the webserver is configured such that you are not allowed to execute it.

Try asking your hosting service for help. Also see How does Geeklog backup the database? for details.

If they won't let you use mysqldump, this plugin provides an alternative for backing up the database.

bye, Dirk
