Hey all,
on all my standard content pages, my flash banner snippet works fine. However, on the Forum, and on some of the administrative or form pages, the pageload never completes, and the flash movie doesn't come up. I have looked at the php, and the resultant html, and it all looks the same. I queried the whole site to see if anyone else had ever seen this, but guess not. If you have an idea, can you let me know? My site is here, if you want to look. Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated.
Luhme summa dat GL.

Hi,
It´s a browser issue.
Everything works fine on Firefox but doesn´t work on IE.
Not sure what it is that it is causing this, but since you are calling the banner from the base public_html directory, I vaguely remember a flash issue where it works fine if your page is in the same directory, but not if it´s anywhere else (but that is a long time ago). Maybe look in that direction.
Since it won´t work in any sub-directory (admin, forum, staticpages, ...) on IE, but does on firefox, must be easy to find a solution
Best Regards,
Boris

use this:
<PARAM NAME="movie" VALUE="http://dubiousprofundity.com/bannersymbol.swf" />
instead of this:
<PARAM NAME="movie" VALUE="bannersymbol.swf" />
now it works in IE

Ha! How about that...I had a fully qualified link on the source, but I have never needed one on the value before. Thank you!
