Ok,

I have unzipped read the isntructions and followed them to the best of my ability. All paths are correct, db server info.

I go to http://www.mysite/admin/install/install.php and I get

Text Formatted Code
An SQL error has occured. Please see error.log for details.

I check the error.log and see this

Text Formatted Code
Table 'db_name.lm_plugins' doesn't exist. SQL in question: SELECT pi_name FROM lm_plugins WHERE pi_enabled = 1

So, I have searched the forums for the past 3 hours and when I think I am close from another thread, they stop posting or go to emails or whatever. Haven't found a solution yet.

Checked the database with phpMyAdmin and there are no tables, just an empty database.

Any solutions?

Nevermind. As it turns out my hoster was using virtual hsting which is no problem but, as it turned out, the DNS name I had selected was being maksked by them. AKA, they registered the name for me and just made it point to another URL where my files were stored. I tried the unmasked one in which mine was pointing to and it installed.

Dunno if there is a work around for this or not.
