Instant Messengers in User Information

As far as I know, there is no addon for this but, it'd be great if you had different places to add your instant messenger infromation such as, Yhoo!, AIM, MSN, ICQ, etc.

if it is just for the admins yahoo icq details etc just add is as a permanent block visible to all... thats what I did.

The forum plugin offers this capability. It has the user profile extension functions and your IM Profile settings will appear as extra icons for the author of the forum post and in the public profile view.

I enabled the Extra User Settings, but I don't see anything different than before they were enabled.

Where does this 'extra information' show up?

Although I do completely agree that it is a pretty ridiculous thing to say, it's far from one of the most ridiculous.
