Content Syndication Refresh Rate

How often does GL refresh the content syndication page? It certainly doesn't seem to happen every time a story is published. Is there a way to tweak the timing? (check once an hour for story updates)?

Is this about the feeds Geeklog creates or the feeds it's displaying in a portal block?
Portal blocks are refreshed every 60 minutes. Geeklog's own feeds are updated when a story is saved - provided that story goes into that feed (which depends on the permissions and the topic selection for the feed).

This is in regards to the GL created feeds under Content Syndication on the Admin tab. The permissions are correct, the story is in that feed, etc... it seems like even after a story is saved it takes a while for the feed to be updated.
Maybe it's my RSS client app. I keep hitting refresh, nothing happens. Maybe I should just check the /backend/geeklog.rdf directly.

I've had my site running for about a week, and my feed file has never shown up.

On a related topic, I noticed my feed articles are having issues with the dates and times. A lot of the dates and times are showing the same (i.e., Yesterday 10:02 PM is showing up for 10 of the articles).
Is that something GL is doing, or is that my reader?

Thanks,

If you check your feed file (or ours, for that matter ...), you'll notice that it doesn't even have dates on the stories. So your feed reader is making a date up for them, it seems.
If you'd like to have a date on the stories in the feed, download Mike's feed writer classes and switch to RSS 2.0 (which will also be the defaul in Geeklog 1.3.12).
bye, Dirk
