confused
Hello All- I tried to find an answer before posting but could not so here goes.
After getting the install page and getting to the second step I hit enter and then the page goes blank..no errors, no messages, no nothing. If I try to run it again I get a message 1050 Table exists which I would expect because the first installation failed. Then I go drop the DB and create a new one and the same thing happens. I just do not know the resolution. Any ideas?

I am running
Apache 2 on Win2K3 Adv Server - On Works Fine
MySQL4.1 on Works fine/running
PHP 5.04 - On, connected with SQL
PHPmyAdmin - Connects to SQL/can create and remove users and databases

My website path is located: c:/apache/apache2/htdocs
Geeklog folder is located c:/apache/apache2/geeklog
ALL contents of public_html in Geeklog are now located in:
C:/apache/apache2/htdocs

Here's my config.php : (feel free to tell me I screwed it up; the paths and such are SOOO confusing)

// Note for Windows users: It's safe to use the forward slash '/' instead of
// the backslash '' in paths. Make sure each path starts with a drive letter!

// This should point to the directory where your config.php file resides.
$_CONF['path'] = 'C:/apache/apache2/geeklog/'; // should end in a

// You only need to change this if you moved or renamed the public_html
// directory. In that case, you should specify the complete path to the
// directory (i.e. without the $_CONF['path']) like this:
// $_CONF['path_html'] = '/path/to/your/public_html/';
$_CONF['path_html'] = 'C:/apache/apache2/htdocs/';

next time you try, when you come to the blank page assume that it worked (for the sake of testing), and type in your site address to see if it actually did.

this blank page sure seems to be an issue lately. see this faq entry as well.

stressed
After your suggestion I see the browser (either IE or FF) both go to a success.php page but display nothing. And if I try to manual hit the index.php that page is also blank. All other PHP pages in ANY OTHER program display fine and work fine.

Any more ideas?

Ill go check out that FAQ..

That's not unusual, actually. If you have a parse error in one of the crucial files (lib-common.php or config.php) and error reporting is switched off, you'll get blank pages for everything.

bye, Dirk
