Geekary Directory (Album) Creation Error

Ello everyone,
I've just reinstated my geeklog website, and am trying to install Geekary for the first time. However, I keep getting the message "Unable to create the Album. Directories could not be made. Please check your Permissions." every time I try to create an album. I've checked my permissions and everything seems kosher, running Win XP and Win FTP, everything sets itself up quite nicely. Anybody have an ideas? I found a thread about this issue, but it was of course in German.
