I just uploaded a patch that disables new user registration by adding the option to config.php (along with edits to various other files).

download the patch or wait for it to make it into CVS--not guaranteed.

I could really use this, but I'm a bit confused as to how to apply the patch?
Do I just cut and paste the code from the *.txt documents to the appropriate file in my Geeklog install, or am I missing something?

it's done, though I made a bit of a mess on the patch page... kept getting permission denied rather than success so it got uploaded it twice by mistake.

I get an error trying to download the patch:

ERROR - ArtifactFile: Invalid ArtifactFile ID
