Finally got Geeklog installed, but Admin and Moderator all throw errors when clicking links

I finally got Geeklog installed (wrestled with it a good bit) and registered myself as a user.
When I signin, all the links work. When Admin or Moderator signon, all the links (Admins Only: Submissions, Stories, Blocks, etc) all throw an error. The error is as follows:
Template Error: set_root: layout/professional is not a directory.
Halted.
HELP!

looks like that was the problem, although i was unable to determine what the really issues was.
I read http://www.geeklog.net/faqman/index.php?op=view&t=56 to find out that putting all the folders in one directory wasn't very secure.
My solution was to follow the instructions on the above link and hide the config.php folder in a new folder.
The directory structure suggested above is much more intuitive than the one that geeklog comes with. It's easy to see that you must protect the directory that config.php is in and that you can do that one of two ways - move it up one level, or password protect it.
