I guess my site is fit enough for review now. Most of the changes I made are very subtle; the article headers and footers, story icons, and the comments section, some of which cannot be seen unless logged in.
The Loculus Community Journal
Using the professional theme, I attempted to make the "read more" stand out more. I condensed the time and "contributed by" into one line and changed the format a little and deleted out the "views". I also used "font size=" to replace the "H1,H2" story titles in order to get the "contributed by" line to pop up underneath the title ... I thought it had too much space in there.
I deleted the "reply to this comment" option in order to help avoid threaded discussions and focus more on keeping comments, just comments. I also changed the way the comments appear and tried to give them a more organized look. Basically the comments are broken into two cells, a header and body.
I placed the comment options such as "Report Abuse", "Delete", and IP# in the second cell and right justified it to make it stand out more.
I made tons of tiny little changes in the site text. As I said, nothing major really but lots of tiny changes here and there that I felt added to the already well designed professional theme.
I'm not that great at modding and the only plugin I included (so far) is the Who's New block. I think it took me a day to figure that one out lol, I know I know, how sad for me.
Feel free to comment if you have any opinion and thanks to all those that helped me while I bugged the community with newbie questions. :-)
