Static content in Portal block

May be a silly question...I'll know when I see the answer...

I have a Portal block with RSS feeds for my newest stories. In that same block, I would like to have a link to a page on my site for archived stories.

Is it possible to add any html to a Portal block? If so, how? If not, any ideas on how I could accomplish this?

Ex:
Story Title 1 (rss)
Story Title 2 (rss)
Story Title 3 (rss)
previous stories (linked to archived stories page)
Any help appreciated.

It swallowed part of my post... Leaves me speechless

"previous stories (linked to archived stories page)" is the part I'm having trouble with as far as adding the text and a link to the Portal block...(the RSS stuff is figured out)

I would think that you cant, ie, without hacking the core. but that never stops me.Laughing
I suggest that you write a custom phpblock that incorporates the feed (see lib-sydication.php) as well as your static content.

Hi machinari,

Thanks for the response. I wouldn't even know how to begin to write a custom block...although I appreciate the clues. I currently have a link to the archived stories in another location (outside the block)...think I may just have to live with it there. Thanks, though.
