Statuscode in Story Submissions

I have recently installed Toolbox to my site. I tried to check each of it's tools to see if they were working & discovered that somehow my stories were altered. It seems that when I submit a story and save it, all tha's previewed is the title and date, now. When I click on the title it takes me to what should be the rest of the story but all that shows is the title, date and comments area.
When I open the story to edit it, all the information is still there, but isn't showing up. I used the dbedit to check the gl_stories and changed the statuscode from 0 to 10 and it brought back my story introText and bodytext. However when I submit a story I am back to the same problem. I don't want to have to edit the statuscode through dbedit everytime in order to make my stories work, please help!!

are you suggesting that Toolbox somehow had something to do with your stories breaking? if so, Disable toolbox and see if things are better.

I think somehow Toolbox altered the variable already and even when I remove it I still have the problem. I only reinstalled it to use the dbedit functions to see where the problem was in the gl_stories.
I reinstalled the story.php and that didn't help.

I have a hard time understanding what's happening (a URL might help) but it may have something to do with the "archive" topic (and nothing with the Admin's toolbox).
How many topics do you have? Is one of them (the one you're posting to) set as the archive topic? And which theme are you using?
bye, Dirk

http://www.example.com/article.php/test2 is the page. I have ten topics. I don't think any of them are set to archive topic. I have customized the professional theme. Test2 is the story in question.
http://www.example.com/index.php?topic=laffnews list that story along with the others that I used Toolbox to fix. Please help!

The only place where the statuscode of a story is changed is in admin/story.php. Did you modify the template file for the Admin's story editor? Try re-uploading that file (admin/story/storyeditor.thtml).
As for the display problem with those stories where statuscode = 10, check your archivestory*.thtml files (compare them with the story*.thtml files).

It was the conflict between the archive and the story page. Thank you so much. I didn't know that they both had to be the same.
