Hi,

first of all, I just started using Geeklog and I was suprised as it seamed to work after the first attempt Wink Anyway, I did it 3 or 4 times, just to check I tried everything and am sure that it works Wink

But then, I started putting some content onto it. First, I had a problem with the TOPICS. I put a topic "webdev" onto it. But it did not always display in the topic-box. Ater some trying, I decided to make myself a html-block and put a small menu into it.

Then I put some Links into the "web resources" and I added one link-group. Then 4 Links into it. then I checked the links and it just displayed one only!!! So that worried me. i put a new group into it, but still the same thing. So, someone has a solution???

The other thing: how do I get the users username??? I made a small email-form onto a static page using php and I would like to auto-fill in the username into the input field. So I checked some of the php files in the geeklog system but did not find anything that worked.

Are those topics and links not showing up when you're not logged in? Then you should check the permissions you gave them.

The username is available through the global variable $_USER['username'] - only if you're using PHP in that static page, of course.

bye, Dirk

Hi Dirk,

my Blog only displays 1 Link per Category butI have 3-4 in each. Permissions are set like these:

Owner: R/E - Group: R - Anonymous/Member: R

I tried it as anonymous, as admin and asa normal user...

Thanks for the global var. That helped a lot.
