Register globals at fault?

The gl page says they are off, and this is probably what is stumping me.

When I go to the plugin page to install, the button does nothing, and the image goes to a geeklog page, with no content.

If I were to try the .htaccess, where would I need to put the file itself? Would it go in the folder with the install.php, or the root of my account?

Yes, that sounds like a typical register_globals problem.

The .htaccess should be in your document root (usually where Geeklog's index.php and lib-common.php reside).

bye, Dirk
