The problem is that I cannot login to the admin area of my geeklog. I am using admin & password as the username and password. When I enter the username and password, I see a stopsign for a second and then I am returned to the login screen. If I type any other username/pw combo I get a message saying 'incorrect login', but using user:admin pw:password I do not get this message, nor do I get logged in.

I can't log in.

I've been trolling for answers, and none of the threads have yeilded antyhing.

- the install seems clean
- gl_users has an Admin account + (default) paaassword
- register_long_arrays = on
- browser accepts cookies
cookie domain is set to 127.0.0.1

Note that I am using Firefox to connect to a GL install on a the local machine ....

Any ideas?

Have you tried to delete cookies and change cookie domain to '' or .examlpe.com instead of the figures?

Try using 'localhost' instead of '127.0.0.1'.

If that doesn't help (and you're sure you've worked your way through the FAQ), then you have to dig deeper. There's a debug option in system/lib-sessions.php: Set $_SESS_VERBOSE = true; and check what it logs in error.log.
