RSS Content Summary Not Showing up in Aggregators

Okay,
Before pointing me to the config.php file (alrady been there) I need to know if there is something else I need to do?
Updated config.php to show the entire intro block in my RSS FEEDS -OUTGOING (after trying 80 character limit) nothing worked.
Checked out a buddy's site because his summary is showing. His config file still reflects a "0"but he has about 80 character limit showing in the aggregators.
So, this leads me to ask... "what else is there to do?" He forgot how he got the change to occur and admits he suspected his RSS summary should have read any number but "0".
So I need help in propogating a change and making sure it works.
PLEASE HELP.... My answer doesn't seem to live in the config.php.
Also, it has been about 12 hours after the change... is there a refresh to propogate the change?
Thanks.

Figured it out.
My assumption was that if you edit the config.php than it would override any other atribute.
The fact is that the Content Syndication overides the config.php.
For those like me who kept overlooking the fairly obvious, Length of entries is the key. THAT is the pre-set to muck with.
Thanks, and it just goes to show you that if you pound your head into the wall long enough, the answer fall out.
