Make articles editable

How can I make articles editable by the writer by default. Right now if a writer posts I (the admin) is the only one who can edit.

I believe that option can be set in your config.php file and then in the permisions you need to set user to have permision

I have looked all over config.php and can't find anything having to do with permissions

If I remember correctly the user must not only have edit right as owner of the article, he must also have edit rights of the topic in which the article resides.

Setting up a Story Admin explains the initial steps. By default, the group edit permissions are off, so if the user does not check that box, only s/he and members of the Root group (e.g. the Admin) can edit the stories afterwards.

In admin/story.php, find the line that reads
Text Formatted Code
$A['perm_group'] = 2;
 
and change the 2 to 3.
