Changing config.php not working... why????

Banging your head

I believe I am following the directions as they are written.
All I have to do is change a few values in the config.php file and geeklog is now in a new subfolder.

I change the values and this is what I get:
Warning: main(/home/content/..../html/geeklog/config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/..../html/skinthis/public_html/lib-common.php on line 69

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/home/content..../html/geeklog/config.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/content/..../html/skinthis/public_html/lib-common.php on line 69

I am not sure why its still looking for the file in the original location when I changed it in the config.php file... (see the first line)

The version I am running right now is 1.3.9sr1. I am currently on GoDaddy.
any suggestions? What terms should I use to search the forum?

Help a non-profit out here!!! lol
Can someone help me

BTW:
If anyone is interested, I am trying to run a site for skinners of programs like Windowblinds, DesktopX, Konfabulator, CursorXP, and so on to get help on and show off works in progress.

Did you change the path to your config.php in lib-common.php? Line 69 there, as the error message states ...

Thanks Dirk!!!

I didn't know I had to do that. For whatever reason (maybe because its a GoDaddy install... I might be better off installiing it myself maybe...) the first line still is looking for the config.php file in the original instal folder:
(/home/content/..../html/geeklog/config.php)

Would changing the lib-common.php file fix the warning and fatal error messages that still look for geeklog in the html/geeklog/ folder?

I'm thinking there is something else I need to change in the config.php file. Maybe if I leave the config file where it is and have it point to the skinthis folder...

Any help is apprieciated.

Er, yes, that's why I asked you if you changed it ...

The error message you quoted are all caused by Geeklog not finding its config.php file.

Btw, from your original post:

In your own interest, you should really upgrade to at least 1.3.9sr4. The necessary upgrade files are available from the Downloads section.

bye, Dirk

YES!!!

It worked as you said. The lib-common.php file needed to be changed.
I wonder why? It doesn't state so in the FAQ (unless I missed it somewhwere but I don't see how. That part of the faq seemed pretty simple.)

Now to see if I can get it to work under the sub-url skinthis.esourcemagazine.com instead of esourcemagazine.com/skinthis/public_html
I'll probably just use a fowarding addy and change public_html into something easier to remember and write if need be... that way you can get there 2 ways; one the easy way and the other the geeky way.

Feel free to visit! Dirk, if you are into skins (WinAmp, Windows Media Player, Windowblinds, Konfabulator) and want an account there, just ask. Thanks for the help.

It's part of the normal installation instructions. Since you said you used some sort of auto installer, you probably didn't see those before.

bye, Dirk
