failed to open stream: Permission denied

Hello All,

I am getting the folowing errors;

Warning: fopen(/home/boyes/geeklog/logs/error.log): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/boyes/public_html/scripts/geeklog/public_html/lib-common.php on line 1512

and

There was an error.
ERROR: Directory /home/boyes/geeklog/backups/ is not accessible.


when attempting to go to the DB Backup page.

I have also had the 1st error many times when I install new plugins, however the plugins still install.

I'm nor sure what the permissionas are to be for logs/error.log but they are the same as all the rest the files and dirs.

Anyone have and idea, I could really use some help,

May I suggest you go over the installation instructions again? It's all addressed there.

Specifically, http://www.geeklog.net/docs/install.html#permission-denied.

Thank you that fixed my problems. For some reason 775 was not enough, it need to a permission of 777
