Safari can't logon

Hi, I've got geeklog running on a Linux server (Apache2 etc.), and it seems to be mostly working fine. I can login with Firefox and everything works correctly, I can view the page with Safari and it appears correctly, but it won't let me login.
I'm running OSX 10.3.9, with all updates, and Safari 1.3.
I've seen some posts saying that similar problems were caused by either a 1) Rezendevous or 2) Cookies issue.
I don't think it's Rezendevous because this is a Linux (Debian Stable) server, and I don't think it's on be default for Debian.
It is currently on the same subnet as I am, but will have a real internet connection once I have it configured propperly.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Stuporglue
