Something happened with my GL config and I had to replace it and quickly edit it to work again.
The site works, but now when users login, their login information stays only a short time. If they go to the chatroom, they are logged out, if they go to the forum, they have to log in again. Things like that.
I have reviewed my config.php to death and can't find the problem. It is the only file I foolishly lost and had to recreate.
Anyone know what could be causing this?
Thanks much.

Sounds like a caching issue. How's your firewall setup? Are cookies allowed?
Anyway, I'm in Wisconsin too. Nice to see a neighbor in the area.

well, it was everyone coming to the site ( http://kenoshaonline.net ) but the problem seems to have just gone away after a couple days of it. Mystery to me, but I'll take it.
Yay! Wisconsin and Geeklog, thought I was the only one!

I've seen this happen if you have whitespace in lib-common.php where it will flash the "cannot modify header" message really quick and not allow users to log in.

I have also experienced it when there is white space in the lib-custom file as well. Go thru your files and varify the ones that you edited, that there are no white spaces, expecially after the ?> at the bottom of the files.

Glad to hear your problem has solved itself. Anyway, hope everything stays like that.
Take care,
